Stitch In London is a long weekend event where like-minded cross stitchers meet, stitch, chat and have fun together - and have an opportunity to buy lovely cross stitching supplies from some amazing UK small businesses.

Stitchers of all stitching abilities, styles, ages and backgrounds are welcome ❤️

Where: Holiday Inn - Watford Junction, 65-67 Clarendon Rd, Watford WD17 1DS (20 mins by train from Euston station)

important - please note that this is *NOT* the Holiday Inn Express hotel at Watford Junction station, these are 2 separate premises

Event capacity: 56 stitchers (8 stitching tables of 7) + organisers and vendors

Ticket cost: £159.00 (read further to find out what this does and doesn't include)

 

How does it work?

From Tuesday 3rd June at 7pm UK time, £25 deposit tickets will be available on the homepage and in the Shop section of this website.

Once you've purchased the £25.00 deposit for the weekend you wish to attend, you will receive an automated email with download link.

  • the link will give you access to PDF info pack with hotel room booking link (reserve now, pay at the hotel during retreat) and registration link to complete your attendee details
  • Total cost of the 3-day retreat is £159.00 (excluding accommodation - please see further below list of exclusions) - the balance of £134 will be payable via PayPal invoice by 15th July ('Pay in 3' will be available on all invoices as optional PayPal instalment plan at NO additional cost to you)

What is included in the ticket?

This year’s ticket costs £159.00 for the 3-day retreat. This includes £25 registration deposit payable upon registration via our website, and a balance of £134.00 payable by 15th July 2025.

This time, the retreat will include both Saturday and Sunday lunches - we’ve had great feedback from running both lunches during our March retreat, and the pizza lunch we had last October. It saves time looking for lunch outside of the venue - and therefore there’s more time left to stitch and enjoy time with friends! Dinners are not included, breakfasts only included as part of B&B hotel room rate.

Once you’ve purchased your deposit, that’s it! No more wondering whether you got into the retreat. As long as the tickets are in stock on the website, we have spaces available.

 

The following is included in the retreat ticket:

  • access to the Stitching Room during the opening hours – lots of stitching, fun, laughter and treats to be had during that time!
  • unlimited tea/coffee/water throughout the weekend and 2 pastry & fruit breaks per day
  • Saturday pizza lunch - selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, Greek salad, dessert cake, and a fruit selection
  • Sunday 2-course lunch - finger buffet including mini burgers, fish & chips, butter chicken with naan, Greek salad, cheesecake, and fruits
  • retreat swag bag
  • access to retreat exclusive goodies
  • option to take part in Smalls Exchange, Freebie table, Destash
  • Brag table - each attendee can bring one item to display on the brag table
  • change to win high quality prizes in a charity raffle (some tickets included in your ticket, option to buy more during the weekend and support the chosen charity)
  • and as usual, chance to win a prize for first place in a quiz
  • private Facebook group for attendees

 

The ticket price does not include:

  • transport to and from the retreat, or any other transfers
  • accommodation (hotel room at retreat rate available - see further below)
  • parking
  • food and beverages except for those mentioned above

 

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation on or before 22-August-2025 (W1) or 29-August-2025 (W2) - you will receive a refund of the ticket price less the £25 deposit paid.

Cancellations on or after 23-August-2025 (W1) or 30-August 2025 (W2): All sales are final. We continue to accept cancellations (up until such time when it's practically possible, usually 2 weeks prior to the retreat but happy be flexible) if we can fill your spot with another retreat attendee to take your spot. We will refund you less the £25.00 deposit. We keep a waiting list and can support with finding an attendee to take your place at the retreat.

Please note that in the event of cancelling retreat ticket, all attendees are responsible for cancelling any accommodation or travel arrangements made and any cancellation fees incurred through these arrangements.

 

Hotel Room bookings:

We have worked hard on making things easier this year - and that includes hotel booking!

The hotel were able to give us a hotel room booking link with a retreat rate. You will receive the link once you’ve purchased the £25.00 deposit ticket.

Here’s how the link will work:

  • the retreat rate offered is £117 for single occupancy / £125 double occupancy, including breakfast - link to book will be included in the downloadable PDF available upon purchasing this deposit ticket
  • payment card details are required at the time of booking to secure the reservation but the hotel has assured me that the payment will only be taken by the hotel during the retreat
  • booking can be cancelled via phone or online no later than 5 weeks prior to arrival at no charge, later cancellation or no-show will result in full booking amount payable
  • the hotel room block will be available at this price until 5 weeks prior to arrival or until full block of rooms is used - if showing sold out, please reach out. We will try to increase the number of rooms available when possible!
  • please note that in the event of cancelling your attendance at the retreat, you are responsible for cancelling any accommodation reservations made, we don’t have access to hotel room bookings.

 

Instalment Payments Available

The balance of £134 will be payable via PayPal invoice by 15th July, and 'Pay in 3' button will be available on all invoices as optional PayPal instalment plan at NO additional cost to you.

This means that those interested will be able to pay in 3 instalments of approx. £44.70 in the months of July, August and September - managed directly by PayPal.
